The SpaceKids Press Squad (SKPS) is a national competition hosted by SpaceKids Global. Eight students plus one parent or legal guardian will be selected for an exclusive opportunity to visit Blue Origin’s Rocket Park manufacturing facility in Florida to tour the rocket factory, visit NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and receive press training from a real-life reporter. The students have been working very hard on their tests. For a break this afternoon, the staff took on the mighty 5th graders on a game of kickball. The staff took no mercy and dominated the game, winning 11 to 5.
The 4th and 5th grade played the boom wackers for the board members at the LSIC meeting. Grant was recognized for winning 1st grade young writers. Lydia and Simon talked about how many fairs they have competed in this year. Madison received a large poster of her design that won 1st place in the annual fire safety calendar. Finn, Rivera, and Myka presented their West Virginia salt dough projects and books.
