The parent football and cheer meeting will be Wednesday, August 6th, immediately following practice at 8pm at the field house. All parents are encouraged to attend for important information about the upcoming season. Reminder: Physicals dated on or after May 1, 2025, and emergency contact information are required to participate at practice. 

Attention PCHS students! Cheer tryouts for the 2025-2026 school year will take place Monday, August 4th from 10am- 1pm. We will meet at the football field. You must have a WVSSAC approved sports physical dated on or after May 1, 2025, in order to tryout. Please wear appropriate sports attire and sneakers. See you there!

🌞 What an incredible first week of our summer school program: Brainwaves and Sunrays! Our days were filled with curiosity, creativity, and community. From sensory-based learning in writing, math, and science to crafting with seashells and mod podge—every moment was a discovery! 🐚✏️🔍 We explored our 5 senses, built string telephones, tallied data, and even turned snack time into math lessons. 🍧📊 A splash pad adventure taught us teamwork, courage, and that Ms. Tina is the bravest of all! 💦💙 Huge thanks to Mrs. Anne Walker & Youth Health Services for their generous support. Event Reminder: PCHS Athletic Awards Night is tomorrow, May 22nd, at 6:00 pm in the gymnasium. Refreshments will be provided. All PCHS families are welcome to join us in celebrating our 2024-2025 student athletes!

Track Meet Update (5/16 @ 1:03 pm)- Saturday, May 17th, the bus is scheduled to leave PCHS at 7:00 AM, traveling to Marlinton and then Hillsboro to pick up students along the way. Students driving or riding with their parents need to arrive at Woodrow Wilson High School no later than 10:00 AM. Field Events will start at 11:00 AM.

Due to thunderstorms in the Beckley area, the track meet today, Friday May 16th, has been rescheduled for tomorrow, May 17th. Field events begin at 1:30 pm and Runner events begin at 2:00 pm.

On Tuesday, May 6th, PCHS is hosting our first Course Fair! To assist students in requesting courses for the 2025-2026 school year, they will meet with teachers in each of our six departments to learn more about CTE programs, electives, honors and dual credit courses. On Thursday, May 8th, students will receive a program of study and course request form to complete a preliminary course request. Once students submit their request, parents will have an opportunity to schedule a meeting with their student's advisor to review their Personalized Education Plan. Thank you for your continued participation and support in your child's education!

The Senior Citizenship Test and Junior History Test will be held tomorrow, May 6, at PCHS. Students need their charged school device to complete the state required tests at 8:30 and 10:00 am in the auditorium.
