Pocahontas County Schools

Due to police presence searching for an escaped inmate all Pocahontas County Schools are on lockdown.  We are in communication with law enforcement and we are taking all precautions to ensure the safety of all students and staff.  We feel our students are safest in locked buildings rather than transporting them home at this time.  We are still without phone service as is most of the residential customers are in Pocahontas County.  But, please be assured that we are in contact with law enforcement and emergency services.  When the situation changes will contact the schools and the public.
